2009 Municipal Census

Beaver County held its first-ever municipal census in the spring of 2009 to produce a population count and to gather input from residents for planning programs and services that directly affect their daily lives.

Key results include:

  • There are 2,291 dwellings in Beaver County.
  • Approximately 52% of the census population is male and 48% is female.
  • The majority of the census population has lived in the County for five years or more.
  • The Agriculture industry employs the most people in Beaver County.
  • The three top factors residents identified by residents as needing improvement if the County is going to be a sustainable community (i.e. a great place to live) in the future are road maintenance and construction, broadband service and the environment.

We thank everyone who took the time to respond to the voluntary survey - your input is appreciated.  A special thank you to the enumerators who went door-to-door and travelled all those miles to meet all of our residents - you truly went above and beyond.
