Beaver County is a rural municipality located in central Alberta, an easy driving distance from Edmonton, Sherwood Park, Vegreville or Camrose. Within our boundaries lie the Towns of Tofield and Viking and the Villages of Ryley and Holden, all of which offer an array of recreational facilities, grade schools and the relaxing atmosphere of small town life.
A diversified tax base, ranging from acreage development on the west, to mixed farming in the centre and east, and oil and gas development in the east, has played an important role in keeping Beaver County a viable community. The County's assessment base has increased substantially over the past several years and exceeded $1 billion in 2009.
Beaver County is an ideal location for your business with two major transportation routes (Highway 14 and Highway 36) providing convenient access, as well as the CN railline carrying the highest volume of rail traffic in the province.
Piped water from the City of Edmonton is available from west to east and broadband (high speed) internet service is on our doorstep.
Municipal property available for sale include property in Tofield, the Equity Industrial Park near Ryley, or the Viking/Beaver Business Park in Viking. Alternatively, the Towns of Tofield and Viking, and the Villages of Ryley and Holden, have property available within their urban boundaries for small business entrepreneurs.
