Battle River School Division

Across the County, school buses from the Battle River School Division can also be rented out by non-profit groups for transporting between 32 and 48 people.

Currently, the fee is $.97 per kilometre and groups must pay the driver (approximately $16.95 per hour for driving and waiting time). They must also carry their own liability insurance for the event they are partaking in at the destination (BRSD has its own insurance re: collisions).

There are no additional charges related to insurance as the kilometreage charge includes these costs. Groups are encouraged to carry their own liability insurance to cover the activity they are partaking in at the destination.

Plus, if there are any out-of-pocket expenses that the driver incurs such as parking and park passes, they will be passed along to the group.

To book a bus, contact the BRSD Transportation Shop at (780) 679-5027 or 1-800-262-4869 who will supply a list of approved drivers to choose from. Then, a charter permit must be obtained from Karen Howard, Assistant Director of Transportation at the same number above.
