Public Works

Beaver County's Public Works Department oversees the function of Road Maintenance and Sewer in the Hamlets of Bruce & Kinsella and Equity Industrial Park.

Beaver County maintains approximately 2,620 kilometres of local road, of which approximately 55 kilometres are oiled or paved. The County has 10 graders to maintain these roads on a full-time basis. The snowplow fleet consists of 10 full-time graders, 3 spare graders and two plow trucks.


The County's Transportation Services Shop is located in Ryley, north of Highway 14 on Secondary Highway 854 North. The shop yard is a fenced 10-acre compound which includes:

  • Maintenance/welding shop (Main Shop)
  • Wash bay shop
  • ASB storage shop
  • Large shop yard for storage of miscellaneous equipment, culverts, trailers, etc.
  • Fueling station
  • Salt storage shed

Throughout the County, there are six grader sheds located in Tofield, Ryley, Holden, Bruce, Viking, and Kinsella.
