Beaver County Council has proclaimed September 18th to September 24th Alberta Development Officers Week, to recognize development and planning practices, and the contributions that development officers make locally, and throughout Alberta. A development officer is a planning and development specialist with knowledge regarding legislation and technical requirements for physical development within communities in Alberta. With support of the Community Peace Officer, they ensure the compliance and enforcement of development decisions, regulations, and approval conditions. Alberta Development Officers Week helps recognize all the hard work of our municipal colleagues in the planning and development department, helping to improve Beaver County.
