Council Considers Tax Rate Increases

At the April 6, 2022 Council meeting, Council considered options for mill rate increases.  Council is aware that the County’s assessment base may experience a significant reduction once the Provincial Government concludes its assessment model review within the next 3 years. 

This review could result in a significant mill rate increase (up to 16%), therefore Council has decided to gradually increase the mill rate in each of next few years to mitigate the impact.
