National Public Works Week May 19- 25, 2019

The year 2019 marks the 59th annual National Public Works Week Sponsored by the Canadian Public Works Association. "It Start's Here" is the theme for 2019. Every year National Public Works Week gets bigger and better. Municipalities continue to grow, which means the value of public works grows.

Our infrastructure, facilities and services could not be provided without the dedicated efforts of public works professionals, and the many responsibilities our public works professionals take on to build, maintain, and support the infrastructure that helps our communities thrive.

The theme this year is "It Starts Here". This theme represents the many facets of modern civilization that grow out of the efforts put forth by the public works professionals. What starts here? Infrastructure starts with public works... Growth and innovation starts with public works... Mobility starts with public works... Security starts with public works... Healthy communities start with public works... The bottom line is that citizens' quality of life starts with public works.

We invite those in public works as well as the general public to celebrate these efforts and the indispensable influence they have on our everyday life.
