Beaver County Council has received an application to close a road to public travel and consolidate the road into the adjacent land.  Council is considering passing a bylaw to allow the closure and is scheduling a public hearing to allow input from affected stakeholders.  The roads that are proposed to be closed are:

Meridian 4 Range 17 Township 50
All that portion of original government road allowance
Adjoining the south boundary of SW 18-50-17-4
Excepting thereout all mines and minerals

Meridian 4 Range 17 Township 50
All that portion of original government road allowance
Adjoining the south boundary of SE 18-50-17-4
Excepting thereout all mines and minerals

Further information, including a copy of the proposed bylaw or a copy of the site plan can be obtained at the Beaver County Office (5120 – 50 St, Ryley) or electronically from the Beaver County Development Officer at jpost@beaver.ab.ca

Beaver County will be holding a public hearing to give residents an opportunity to provide input on the proposed bylaw. Details of the public hearing are as follows:

If you wish to submit written comments regarding the proposed road closure bylaw, a copy must be delivered to the Beaver County Office, attention Meagan Walsh (mwalsh@beaver.ab.ca), no later than 4:30 pm, Wednesday, August 9, 2023.  Written submissions will not be accepted during the public hearing.

If you submit written comments regarding the proposed bylaw, the information you provide may be made public, subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
