Highway 36 at Viking closed for rail crossing repair.

Travelers will face a major daytime detour October 25, 2018 on Highway 36 at the CN rail crossing in Viking as workers undertake rail repairs.

 

CN Rail requested 10 hours closure between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. October 25, 2018 to allow workers to repair the rail crossing, situated in Viking on Highway 36.

 

Signs and flag persons will be on site to direct traffic through the one lane closures and speeds will be reduced to 50 km. Motorists should use caution in this area. Fines for speeding are doubled in construction zones when workers are present.
