September 10th, 2018 is  World Suicide Prevention Day.

 

Did you know that AHS hosts a Mental Health Help Line 1-877-303-2642 . It is a free 24/7 service that provides confidential services including crisis intervention, referral to services agencies and other information about mental health programs and services.

If you or anyone you know is struggling please reach out to the line by calling 1-877-303-2642 (toll free within Alberta).

 

Further local suicide prevention resources can be accessed at the VBFCSS/Town of Viking registration night on September 11, 2018from 4pm to 8pm at the Viking Carena where our AHS partners will be hosting a resource table at the Viking Registration evening. AHS has also placed suicide information, questions and answer cards at various restaurants in town to create discussion around this important topic.

 

Beaver County, FCSS and the Village of Ryley will be hosting a Suicide Awareness Walk on September 11, 2018, at noon. Everyone is welcome and invited to meet at the Beaver County Service Centre Lobby.
