Strategic Goal: Lifestyle Enhancement

Support for Seniors

  • Council approved up to $50,000 in grant funding and 10 tandem loads of gravel to support the Tofield Golden Club’s building expansion project.

Proclamation Acknowledged

  • Council recognized National Drowning Prevention Week (July 20–26), promoting water safety awareness.

 

Responsible Financial Stewardship

Strategic Goal: Sustainable Finance

Auditors Appointed

  • MNP LLP was appointed as the County’s auditor for a five-year term, covering 2025 through 2029.

2025 Tax Sale Reserve Set

  • A reserve bid of $9,000 was set for a property in the upcoming tax sale, with standard deposit and payment terms.

 

Strengthening Governance and Regional Relationships

Strategic Goal: Collaborative Partnerships

Viking Road Maintenance Agreement

  • Council acknowledged the Town of Viking’s notice to terminate the Viking Road Maintenance Agreement, effective August 21, 2025.

Beaver Emergency Services Commission (BESC)

  • Council approved paying 100% of the County’s share of BESC’s projected 2025 shortfall in four equal payments.

 

Postponed Items

Several agenda items were deferred to the next meeting scheduled for August 20, 2025, to accommodate meeting timelines.
