INFORMATION BULLETIN - Blue Green Algae Advisory at Camp Lake Park Campground
Beaver County has been informed that there is the presence of Blue Green Algae at Camp Lake and an advisory has been issued, by Alberta Health Services, for this location, which includes the Camp Lake Park Campground. Advisories are in effect until rescind notices are issued.

Black Nugget Lake Campground has reopened for the season!
Please note that there is still some ongoing work being completed at the site, so when campers arrive at the campground you will notice that:
- RV dumping site has been relocated to an area just west of the previous location.
- This area will be gravel for the remainder of the season and a concrete pad will be installed at a later date.
- Area surrounding the concession has been modified and landscaping work will be ongoing.

Beaver County is pleased to announce that on March 1st, on-line reservations for all camping at the County’s campgrounds will be accepted for arrivals beginning May 18, 2022. Group camping, playgrounds, beaches, cookhouses and changerooms will be available for public use as well as showers and flushable toilets. We invite you to enjoy these facilities while remaining mindful of the health risk inherent in high-use areas.
Our priority is still the health & safety of our guests and staff as well as our community. Please use caution when camping and using our facilities. We ask that you continue to social distance and wash your hands. Thank you for your continued support. Stay safe & be kind.
These recommendations include:
- Fires could be banned, without notice, by Beaver Emergency Services or the Provincial Government. Click on the following links for an update on County or Provincial fire advisories or bans.
- Playgrounds, basketball, volleyball, & tetherball are available.
- Group sites, minimum of 3 units are charged at time of booking, if you add more units including tents you will be charged upon arrival and must register at the office and pay for all extra units.
- Showers and flushable toilets are available at the concession
- All picnic tables in sites will be sanitized after each use
- Cook houses and change rooms are available for public use
- Boat launch
- 2 Beach's
- Water taps are outside the concession to fill your trailer tanks
- Day use areas in both campgrounds
- Day fishing at Black Nugget Lake is open year around, however please stay in the day use area and maintain a 6 foot physical distance between you and other day use visitors.
The health and safety of our residents, visitors, staff, and contractors is our top priority. These measures are in line with Provincial recommendations to practice physical distancing.

Beaver County Campgrounds Online Reservation System
Beaver County uses an on-line reservation system, through Camp Reservations Canada. You must have an e-mail address and a credit card in order to make an online reservation.
