News Release - Cap Clean Energy Proposed Facility

CAP CLEAN ENERGY ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR RENEWABLE FUEL FACILITY IN BEAVER COUNTY
BEAVER COUNTY, AB. — Beaver County is pleased to share that Cap Clean Energy Corp. has selected Equity Industrial Park, located just east of Ryley along Highway 14, as the proposed site for a new renewable energy facility.
Cap Clean Energy, a company committed to advancing more sustainable energy solutions, has acquired 40 acres within the industrial park for a project that will produce biofuel from plant-based residue.
Over the past 18 months, Cap Clean has continued to work closely with Beaver County administration and local producers to assess site feasibility, secure long-term sources of feedstock, and lay the groundwork for a long-term presence in the community.
“We’re excited to welcome Cap Clean Energy to Beaver County,” said Kevin Smook, Reeve of Beaver County, in a statement. “This initiative aligns with our vision for responsible growth, and represents a shared commitment to environmental sustainability and rural innovation.”
A Collaborative Path Forward
While still in its early phases, the project is expected to bring significant benefits to the region in the coming years, including construction and operational roles, increased collaboration with the local agricultural sector, and broader economic contributions.
Beaver County officials are encouraged by the potential long-term impact of the project and view it as part of a growing momentum in attracting forward-looking industries to the area.
Strategic location supports long-term growth
The location was chosen for its proximity to key transportation corridors — including both road and rail — as well as existing proposed carbon capture infrastructure in the region. These logistical advantages, combined with support from the local government, made Beaver County an attractive choice for Cap Clean’s long-term investment.
“Beaver County offers the right mix of infrastructure, strategic location and community collaboration,” said Steve Polvi, CEO of Cap Clean Energy. “We’re looking forward to continuing our collaboration with the community as plans progress.”
The project reflects Beaver County’s ongoing efforts to attract sustainable development and diversify the local economy through partnerships that support innovation and long-term growth.
