Cycling Canada's Canadian Road Cycling Championships organized by Do North Events took place in Beaver and Strathcona Counties on Friday June 23rd. This prestigious event showcased top cyclists from Canada, as well as international participants from New Zealand, Great Britain, and the US. We're thrilled to have Beaver County host this national and international competition, putting our region in the spotlight.

Reeve Smook, Councillor Williams and CAO Spiess had the honour of awarding jerseys and medals to the incredible para-athletes, including the outstanding Shelley Gautier, a paralympic medalist and World Champion para-cyclist. They proudly presented Shelley with the gold medal for her remarkable performance in the Women's T1-2 race.

A big thank you to County residents for your patience during this exciting event! We appreciate your support as we showcase this amazing piece of the County, and we hope you were able to see some of the action.
