Landflood Control Policy
Council provided direction with respect to changes to the policy and directed that draft policies be brought forward for discussion at the January 16, 2019 Regular Meeting.
Beaver Control Contractor
Council authorized entering into a contract with 2086391 Ab. Ltd. to provide Beaver Control services on an interim basis until a new Beaver/Landflood Control policy is adopted. The County would then amend the contract to address the revised policy. The interim priorities for winter trapping under this contract are on waterways in which Beaver County holds an active license under the Water Act, and problem locations which affect County infrastructure.
Beaver Bounty
Council passed a motion to suspend the bounty on beavers program effective December 31st, 2018.
Special Events
Council authorized purchased of tickets for Tofield and Area Health Foundation Valentine Day Gala and Beaver Hill Rural Crime Watch Fundraiser Dinner.
The next Regular Council Meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, January 16, 2019, commencing at 8:30 am.
An Agricultural Services Board has been scheduled for Wednesday, January 16, 2019, commencing at 3:00 pm.
