FIRE RESTRICTION IN EFFECT

Effective August 22, 2022 BESC has issued a Fire Restriction following consultation with the district fire chiefs.

The following message is posted on Alberta Fire Bans as well as on the BESC website. The Fire Restriction applies to the entire Beaver County Region.

 

Fire hazard conditions are at a level where fire can start and grow quickly. The fire restriction prohibits all open air burning and all major burn operations . All open air fire permits are now suspended. No new fire permits will be issued while the restriction is in effect.

Please extinguish all previously permitted fires and check recently burned brush piles to ensure they have been completely extinguished.

Safe fires in approved fire pits, incinerators with screens, gas/propane stoves, and barbeques are still permitted.
