Rail Safety for Farmers

Rail safety is important for everyone to follow, remember these three key points when approaching rail crossings, especially when travelling in large, loud equipment.

- Stop at all railway crossings
When approaching a crossing, slow down and be prepared to stop.

- Look both ways for trains
At passive crossings, there are no lights or bells to warn you of approaching trains. Be extra careful.

- Listen carefully for trains
If you're in a loud machine, open your window or door to better hear approaching trains.
