Policy & Bylaw Changes
- Council rescinded the relevant existing policies, and approved new policies as per below:
- Policy #GOV-005 – Council Representation on External Committees.
- Policy #GOV-007 – Councillor Telecommunication Equipment.
- Policy #INFR-002 - Backsloping and accompanying Administrative Procedure.
- Policy #INFR-006 - Dust Control and accompanying Administrative Procedure.
- Council passed all three readings of Bylaw #23-1146 - Line of Credit.

Joint Quality Management Plan - Safety Codes Council
The Safety Codes Council Joint Quality Management Plan was approved by Council.
Request for Health Foundation Support - Viking Health Foundation
Council approved a grant of $6,800 to the Viking Health Foundation funded from the FCSS budget.
2024 Interim Operating Budget and 2024 Capital Budget
The 2024 Interim Operating Budget was approved by Council, with total expenditures of $23,689,490, and the 2024 Capital Budget was also approved with total expenditures of $11,460,987. For more information in the budget, click here. The final budget will be presented to Council, for approval, in the spring of 2024.
Equity Industrial Park
Council awarded the Request for Proposal - Equity Industrial Park Area Structure Plan contract to Bearisto & Associates to include railway evaluation.
